How payment works
Theralution does not bill insurance companies directly.
You pay Theralution directly for your care, and we provide an itemized receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Because insurance benefits vary, we recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning care to understand your out-of-network benefits, deductibles, and potential reimbursement.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds?
Yes. Eligible physical therapy services may be paid for or reimbursed using HSA or FSA funds. Because eligibility and documentation requirements can vary by plan, we recommend confirming coverage with your HSA or FSA administrator.
Theralution provides an itemized receipt for services to help you document your medical expenses.
How can I pay?
Payment is due at the time of service.
Theralution accepts major credit/debit cards and checks.
Do I need a referral?
In most cases, no.
Virginia allows qualified physical therapists to evaluate and treat patients without a physician referral. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I can provide direct-access physical therapy in accordance with Virginia requirements.
If you are already receiving care from another healthcare provider for the same condition or symptoms, additional communication requirements may apply. With your written consent, I may need to communicate with that provider and share your initial evaluation and relevant history.
If your condition appears to require medical evaluation or care outside the scope of physical therapy, I will refer you to the appropriate healthcare provider.
